What Narnia taught me.
I didn't think that I would find many things for this post, (silly me) but ideas just flowed off the pen. This is what my Narnian family has taught me.
Edmund taught me about forgiveness, and that even the worst of traitors may mend.
Lucy reminds me to keep the faith of a child, and to keep my eyes open to Him.
Susan taught me about trust, and to not grow up to fast.
Peter taught me about responsibility, and how to look out for others.
Rilian taught me to enjoy the little things in life.
Reepicheep taught me about loyalty and honor.
Jill taught me to keep my priorities straight.
Eustace taught me that sometimes change is for the better, even if it's not what you imagined.
Caspian taught me about humility and about what it means to be ready for great honor.
Tirian taught me to keep the faith, and stay strong.
Aravis taught me about acceptance, and that your blood doesn't make you better.
Bree taught me about pride, and not to think to much of myself.
Shasta taught me I'm not alone, and that hard times make me stronger, and are there for a reason.
Digory taught me about making up for my mistakes.
The Beavers taught me to never give up hope.
Polly taught me about being a good caring friend.
Puddleglum taught me not to give in to temptation.
Uncle Andrew warned me to not shut out wisdom.
Jewel reminds me where my real home is.
Hwin taught me not to resist His call.
Trufflehunter taught me to hold on.
Aslan taught me that love conquers all.
Puzzle taught me to be careful of my friends, and to not let people define me.
Jadis taught me that power isn't what it seems, and that it's not always what we want.
Mr. Tumnus taught me about doing what's right, even if the cost is high.
By Narnia I'm inspired, amused, convicted, challenged and comforted. It's a place of childlike wonder, a place where you can abandon practicality, and be a hero. It's a place where we can make mistakes and learn from them. Narnia is my home away from home, and maybe one day, I will find a way to get there.

ReplyDeleteI'm not as crazy as you are about the Narnia books, but I have one bragging right about C.S.Lewis. My granddad met him when he was younger! :-) C.S.Lewis came to his university and lent him his hot waterbottle during the night, because he was ill.
